(Dana Point, CA) - The seventh annual Mickey Munoz Mongoose Cup to
benefit the Sport of Kings Foundation will be held Saturday April 9, 2016 at
Dana Cove Park (Baby Beach), Dana Point Harbor. Mickey and his friends will
join many of the world’s best paddlers for a special fundraiser and a great day
of paddling fun and competition. Mongoose Cup activities which attract over 200
competitors and thousands of spectators include: Sport of Kings Races, One Mile Time Trial (SUP & Prone), Luck of the Draw
Relay, Paddleboard Sprints, Kid's SUP Races, Waterman Clinics & Expo, SUP Yoga, Lunch and 2016 Commemorative Tees available too!
“The Mongoose Cup provides a great opportunity to immerse in paddleboard
sports revelry, competition, culture and community,” says host Mickey
Munoz. “Come out with the whole family
to learn new paddling skills & techniques, checkout the latest in paddling
& surfing products and enjoy the camaraderie of racing with friends and
pros alike.”
Attendees will be able to checkout the latest paddling and surfing
equipment, try demos and take advantage of the SUP & paddling pros on-site
giving instruction throughout the day including paddling & training
techniques, SUP racing skills, water safety, fitness, adventure paddling and
SUP yoga. There will also be a Waterman Expo that includes many leading
industry exhibitors.
The Mongoose Cup is
organized as a fundraiser for the Sport of Kings Foundation, a non-profit
501c(3), charitable organization set -up to help those in the surfboard
manufacturing industry afflicted with life threatening and debilitating
illnesses. The Sport of Kings Foundation is providing critical support and
compassionate care to industry members in need.
