2018 Moon River Race to Benefit the Ogeechee Riverkeeper

We're back in 2018 with the Moon River Race to Benefit Ogeechee Riverkeeper!  Thank you for helping to support the work Ogeechee Riverkeeper does to protect, preserve, and improve the water quality of the Ogeechee River watershed.  Join us for a great Kayak/SUP race in Savannah!

Race Details:
The 4-mile Moon River Race will be out and back race from Butterbean Beach through the Branches, and under the Moon River Bridge. 

We also have a 1-mile Butterbean Beach fun race for those wanting to try out kayak and SUP racing. 

New this year!
This year, racers will start and finish on the water. No need to worry about getting out of your boat to cross the finish line!

We are trying to make this a waste-free event, so bring your water bottles to refill at our water coolers!


$40 until midnight on May 31, 2018

$45 from June 1-June 15

$55 race day if space is available

The Moon River race course is a 4 mile out and back from Butterbean beach, through the Branches, under the Moon River Bridge, and then a turnaround after a small hammock on the left. 

The Butterbean Beach course is a half mile out and back, show in purple on the map.

Rodney J. Hall Boat Dock (AKA Butterbean Beach) is located at:

25 Diamond Causeway
Savannah, GA 31406

It is located just before the bridge connecting Skidaway Island to the mainland.
