The 5th Paddle at the Porch will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, beginning at 9 a.m.

Paddle at the Porch showcases the beautiful emerald green water and white sandy shores of Destin, Florida, behind one of its most loved restaurants, The Back Porch Seafood & Oyster Bar. It features a Kids' Fun Race, 1-Mile Beginner, 3-Mile Recreational, 6-Mile Elite, and, new this year, a Relay. Races will be followed by awards.

Race Start Times
9 a.m. - 3/6-mile races start
10:45 a.m. - 1-mile race starts
11:30 a.m. - kids' fun race (for ages 12 & under only) starts
12:15 p.m. - relay starts
Awards for all races will begin directly after the relay.

Awards
Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall winners, as well as the 1st place winner for 50+ in the following categories:
1-Mile Beginner - Men's, Women's
3-Mile Recreational - Men's Displacement, Women's Displacement, Men's Surfstyle, Women's Surfstyle
6-Mile Elite - 14' Men's Elite, 12'6" Men's Elite, 12'6" Women's Elite
Kids' Fun Race - Boys, Girls

Registration
Online registration closes at 2 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 19. After that time, you may register in person during the Packet Pick Up Party or before the race on Saturday morning.

Pricing is as follows:

1-Mile Beginner - $25 until Aug. 19 / $35 on Aug. 20 (This price does not include a race shirt.)
3-Mile Recreational - $40 until Aug. 19 / $50 on Aug. 20
6-Mile Elite - $55 until Aug. 19 / $65 on Aug. 20
Kids' Fun Race - $12 (This price does not include a race shirt.)

Packet Pick-Up Party
Kick start the race weekend with our Packet Pick-Up Party at The Back Porch, from 4 - 7 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 19. For those who cannot make the party, packets may be picked up at the Destin Chamber, located at 4484 Legendary Drive, Suite A, in Destin, on Friday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. They may also be picked up the day of the race beginning at 7 a.m., at The Back Porch.

Race Meeting
A mandatory race meeting will be held 20 minutes prior to the start of each race.
