Bear Mountain Paddle for Puerto Rico
Bear Mountain Paddle is a scenic spring race in the beautiful Hudson Valley in support of Angelitos de Amor Salon, Inc to help improve the lives of children with Down’s syndrome in Puerto Rico affected by the recent natural disasters. The Bear Mountain Paddle strengthens the mission of HVH2O by increasing environmental education and awareness on the Peekskill waterfront.

8 mile Elite Race Paddle to Bear Mountain Bridge and back
4 mile Sprint Race From riverfront around Fish Island
2 mile fun paddle A circuit around the waterfront
Charity Paddle: Non-racers all are welcome to do a 8 mile charity paddle to Bear Mountain Bridge - (untimed.)
Women: 18–49, 50+
Men: 18–49, 50+
All-around boards or flatwater boards
All categories 14' and under
Timeline:
Check-in starts at 8:00am
Gather at 9:15aM at Peekskill Waterfront.
Launch charity paddlers first, at 10am at the Peekskill boat launch. Paddlers will go with an escort.
Launch racers at 10:00am
Racers return about 11:00am–12:00pm
Charity paddlers return at 12pm.
After Party and Awards at Peekskill Brewery immediately following the race.
*All paddlers must have a PFD and board leash to participate. This is for our paddlers safety and protection.
Donation Policy: By making a charitable gift via registration or sponsorship to The Bear Mountain Paddle for Puerto Rico, you understand that your registration fees and other costs will not be refunded and will be considered a donation to support benefiting charities.
Bear Mountain Paddle for Puerto Rico can cancel the race due to the occurrence of any majeure force event or credible threat thereof, including but not limited to any Act of God, fire, earthquake, acts of civil or military authority, casualty, flood, war, terrorist attack, epidemic, insurrection, civil unrest, strikes or other labor activities or any other similar cause beyond the reasonable control of Bear Mountain Paddle, including environmental conditions that might threaten the health and safety of event participants, volunteers or staff.
