GENERAL INFO

The Cape 2 Cape is a paddle race that will set a new standard for paddle events on the East Coast.

With a 19 mile Chesapeake Bay Crossing staged for the most Elite racers in the world to a medley of fun yet challenging races held at one of the most beautiful state parks in the country this event has something for everyone and will become a tradition that is sure to grow into a global event.
 

The Crossing
$100 to Register - 


The Cape 2 Cape Crossing is roughly 19 miles as the seagull flies. The paddlers will launch off of the beautiful beach behind the Sunset Beach Inn in Cape Henry Va. After paddling under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and around Fisherman’s Island it will be a straight shot to the Cape Henry Light where the contestants will be challenged with open ocean conditions and will cross two major shipping channels. Once at Cape Henry Light, they will round a buoy and proceed to the finish line at the First Landing State Park. This event will challenge the very best paddlers in the world.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The race director may refuse entry to any contestant who cannot prove they are capable of paddling 10miles in 2 hours. Any paddler still in the water 5 hours after the race start will be picked up by an escort boat (provided by Cape 2 Cape) and brought to the finish line.


DIVISIONS

The race will be open to SUP Paddlers and Prone Paddlers. Both disciplines will have individual men's and women's stock and unlimited classes.




Father's Day Races
$40 to Register - Prizes for Top 3 Finishers in each Division


We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Father’s Day than to spend the day paddling and having fun at First Landing State Park. We will be hosting five different paddle events catering to paddlers of all ages and skill levels. From casual Relay Races to a challenging 12mile race in the Chesapeake Bay to everything in between these events will run throughout the day and will conclude with the best paddlers in the world finishing an epic crossing of the Chesapeake Bay!
