The Carolina Pro-Am presented by Salt Life and Infinity Sup Co. is scheduled for November 13-14, 2021.  The Carolina Pro/Am will include the Pro Open and Pro Longboard divisions along with the amateur competitors.  Covid safety guidelines will be in place to adhere to with current state and city guidelines for the safety for all Sup surf competitors.

The Carolina Pro/Am in it's 6th year is a two-day Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Surf event, drawing the top amateur and Pro paddle surfers from around the country and the world.  The “First Comp” division will again be offered for all first-time contest competitors and the Haywood Newkirk Amateur Award honoring the best combined finish in Open and Longboard divisions that will awarded to a male or female.

New for 2021, we will offer a tandem bodyboard board division sponsored by Bully Board, the exciting Sup Squatch division and Masters Pro 40+ for both men and women's divisions. 

We are excited to offer the Pro Divisions again this year, however with the international travel restrictions, state by state restrictions in the U.S. with Covid and not knowing how many Pro competitors will compete.  The Pro division prize money will be $4,000.00 for the Pro Open, Pro Longboard and Masters Pro 40+ and will increase $1,000 for every 10 entries over 24 total.  This will provide incentive to the Pro competitors to compete in this years event.

The Carolina Am will be covered by local and international media from the WPA, TotalSup,, SUPConnect.com and Standup Journal.  More updated information will be announced on the Carolina Pro/Am facebook and instagram.

Follow all WPA safety guidelines that includes the State and City Covid safety guidelines to be outlined. Leashes are MANDATORY while in the water and during competition!  This is a city law.  Any registered competitor not wearing a leash during the competition days will be disqualified.
