The Race 

Do you got what it takes to conquer Lake Michigan? Join us for the inaugural Lake Michigan Open Water Challenge.

This is Day 2 of Chicago SUP racing with two race options:

• Long Course - 10 Miles - This race is geared towards the advanced SUP racer. 
• Free 1 Mile Fun Race - This Race will stay close to shore and is for anyone wanting to get their feet wet in SUP racing.

Categories an Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 Male and Female finishers in the following categories:

Long Course: SUP 14' and under and Open (any craft other than SUP) 

1 Mile Fun Race: All 

Results for the 10 Mile race will count towards Midwest Paddle League points. 

Board Rentals:

Board rentals will be available through CHICAGO SUP. Reserve early to ensure availability. 

Weather & Safety:

The race will be held rain or shine. Course modifications will me made base on conditions. In the event of severe storms or unsafe conditions the race will be delayed or canceled. 

A US Coast Guard approved pfd and leash will be required for all racers.
