Welcome to the 4th Annual Chucktown Showdown on September 17, 2016 benefiting the Special Olympics of South Carolina Area 6 Paddleboard Team

3 clinics offered on Friday, September 16th meeting at Bristol Pier (S.Brittlebank Park):

1. Women's Only Standup Paddle Clinic with Video Analysis taught by 3-time Chucktown Showdown Champion April Zilg: 4:00pm-6:00pm, $70
2. Paddle Technique Clinic taught by 2015 Chucktown Showdown Champion, Jeramie Vaine, 5:00pm - 6:00pm, $40
3. Sunset SUP Yoga Clinic taught by 2015 Chucktown Showdown Champion, Jeramie Vaine: 6:30pm - 7:30pm, $40

On Saturday, September 17th, the races start and end in water off the end of the Brittlebank Park fishing pier on the west side of the Charleston on the Ashley River.  

The Battery course is a 4 mile out and back course along the SW coast of the Charleston peninsula. The course is usually flat and protected with occasional wind chop and mild currents. PFD REQUIRED on all craft. Leashes are highly recommended on all paddleboards.

The Harbor course is a 9 mile loop course that goes into the main Charleston Harbor with views of USS Yorktown, Ft Sumter, Castle Pinckney and the Ravenel Bridge.  The course can be very challenging with winds, wind chop, and currents.  PFD REQUIRED on all craft. LEASHES REQUIRED on all Paddleboards
