GENERAL INFO

Welcome to the First Annual Clemson Paddle Jam! 

A Benefit for Helping Hands of Clemson, Inc.

Saturday, June 25th 2022 at 12 Mile Recreation Area in Clemson.

**Part of the Southeast Paddle Sport Championship Series!**


*Event includes a 3 mile and 6 mile race option.  Race course follows the scenic 12 mile river branch of Lake Hartwell, just north of the City of Clemson.


*All ages and all categories of paddle craft are welcome (kayak, canoe, sup, racing, recreational, etc.)


*We will also have a beginner's paddle clinic and a free "kid friendly" paddle zone for children, families and inexperienced paddlers to explore and test their skills.


There will be live music, a complimentary racer’s picnic, raffles and awards, all happening on site.   With awards given to the top 3 competitors in each category and age bracket.


Schedule

8:15am to 9:15am:  Racer Registration (pick up your number, sign your waiver)

9:15am to 9:30am:  Racer’s Briefing and Safety Meeting

10:00am:  RACE START!!  (single start for both 3mile and 6mile race)

10:15am: Beginner's Paddle Clinic at the Paddle Zone next to swim area.

11:30 to 12:30:  Racer’s picnic (Complimentary catered lunch served to all racers)

12:00pm to 12:30pm:  Raffle and awards ceremony!!

12:30pm to 2:00pm: Live music


Registration Fee: 

All ages:  $40  

*Registration includes t-shirt, lunch and raffle entry. 

*Must register by June 10th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

*Last day to register is Friday, June 24th by 5pm. 


Waivers

All participants MUST SIGN a paper waiver form which will be located at the registration table the day of the event.


Race Rules

-PFD and whistle must be worn at all times during the race.  

-A safety meeting and racer's briefing will be held the morning of the event.


Park Rules

-No Alcohol and pets must be leashed

-$5 entree fee/vehicle at the gate.


Amenities

-Amenities at 12 Mile Recreation Area include a beach with swimming area, playgrounds, picnic areas, bathrooms, boat ramp and lots of trees for shade and for stringing your hammock.  


It's for a great cause!!

Net proceeds from the event will be donated to Helping Hands Children’s Home of Clemson, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing housing and care for abused and neglected children. To learn more about his organization or to make a donation visit: Helping Hands Childrens Home
