Dana Point Yacht Club, sanctioned by the World Paddle Association, presents the Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta Paddle Races Event.  Proceeds of all the Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta events benefit the Dana Point Harbor Youth Foundation.  There will be four separate races for participants to choose the distance and craft for their ability level.

The 7.5 mile distance race is an open ocean race for OC1, OC2, Surfski and Six-person outrigger crafts only.  The 2.4 mile and 1.2 mile races will be conducted inside the harbor for those wanting a fun competitive race with the 1.2 mile race being WPA Scholastic SUP race for the JV division.  The final event of the afternoon will be the WPA Scholastic SUP Varsity/Div 1, 2.6 mile technical Juniors race with the top Junior competitors competing on a four lap, 24 buoy turn 2.6 mile course to test their abilities and skills.

The Juniors races (1.2 mile and 2.6 mile technical) is the fourth race in the WPA Scholastic SUP race series that provides points for rankings in the series for both JV and Varsity level competitors offering age groups 8U, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17.
