Event location change to Holland Park 801 Johnson Street, Hollywood, FL 33019.  

Stellar - Paddle Attic East Coast Surfski Championship offers 12-mile and 6-mile ocean racing for Surfski and Outrigger Canoe with a mid-morning start time.  All racing takes place on the Hollywood Beach waterfront on Saturday, April 23rd , 2022.  

The racecourses are visible from Hollywood Beach and along the inside line, friends and family members may cheer on their racers. Proceeds of the event go to the Hollywood Surf Lifesaving Club Competition Teams.

Please ensure that you can complete the event you register for within the allotted time.

Day of race registration closes at 8AM.

Race start is wet just outside the sandbar.  The finish line for 6/12 Mile race will be dry where the racers will paddle to the beach, dismount and run/jog/walk/crawl with their paddle a short distance to the finish line. Boat caddies will gently move craft to the beach to insure a clean finish area.

Safety of the paddlers is a prime concern. Leashes and Vests are required for all paddlers except for lifeguard paddled Spec Surfskis.

Racers will receive event activity shirts - Refreshments at the finish line for racers on Saturday.

Surfski coaching by Stellar Paddle Attic pro paddlers Ian Black and Sandrine Hamel for individuals and groups will take place on April 18th through 22nd.

The popular Paddle Attic "As Fast as You Can Around the Can" race will take place on Friday, April 22nd starting at 2PM. All competitors race on the same Stellar S18S surfski using a Stellar Pro Wing Paddle.  The race is individually timed on a 400 meter in and out course with one turn buoy.  Winning woman and man are each awarded a Stellar Pro Wing Carbon Paddle.

Venturesport's Round the Can's lifeguard style racing will take place on Sunday April 24th.  Course is regulation USLA 800 meter apex.  Race starts are at the shoreline.  Racers must stand next to their crafts until the start whistle blows.
