The traditional 5.9 mile Essex River Race course will be used.  We will start and finish by the CK Pearl dock.   Racers will proceed out the river and round Cross Island (which is actually a conglomerate of Cross, Corn, and Dilly Islands, with connecting marshland) in a counterclockwise direction, returning back up the river to the start/finish line.  As long as you go around the Cross Island conglomerate, you can take any path you like in the river.
