No need to worry about canoe rentals, or if the canoe you paddle will be the same as those you're paddling against. Grab your paddle and bring five friends! This is an Ocean Regatta (sprint) you will need a Steersperson that can keep your canoe straight in the surf.

Location is Cape Canaveral Beach, just south of Jetty Park Beach N Campground, Port Canaveral

The Florida State Ocean Regatta is an OC6 Sprint Race. All canoes used will be supplied by Lokahi Outrigger Club. All Spec Canoes used will all weigh 400lbs. Four lanes with red buoys 1/4 mile out and back, 1/2 mile total. All crews will paddle twice prior to semi-finals. Woman's, Men's and Mixed divisions. A fee of $75 per participant.  Participants that paddle in multiple divisions pay a one time participant fee for the day.  For those who are not racing, but would like to have lunch, there will be a $25 fee for lunch only.

Awards on the Beach at the end of the Sprints, followed by an awesome dinner at Port Canaveral Yacht Club.

The regatta racing format requires a lot of preparation.  Registration Closes on Monday, June 6th at 3:00pm to properly prepare for the regatta.

Participant Registration:

Each crew member must login to their PaddleGuru profile to pay their registration fee and fill out an e-waiver to complete his/her registration.   Participant race fees must be paid before registration closes on Monday, June 6th at 3:00pm. We will not be collecting payment the morning of the regatta.

Sunday's OC6 & Small Craft Race sign up is also on Paddleguru. If you participate in Saturday's Regatta, there will be a discount to race in Sunday's Race that you will find on your payment receipt.

*Each registrant must complete one e-waiver to participate in the weekend's activities. So you do not have to fill out another e-waiver if you are racing on Sunday too.

Safety:

PFD is required by the USCG and will be supplied in the canoes

Paddlers responsible for supplying their own hydration and nutrition

Safety Boats will be on the water

A completed waiver is required to participate
