The Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup is a premier event for Pacific Northwest canoe, kayak, paddleboard and outrigger athletes and enthusiasts with races for all ages and experience levels. This is a family-friendly event both on and off the water!
Organized by the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Racing Team, this annual community festival features racing for kayaks, canoes, stand up and prone paddle boards, outriggers and para-canoes, and community dragon boat races. Vendors line Skansie Park both days, and spectators have an excellent view of racing from the Skansie Park Welcome Center view platform, from the park, and from Jerisich Dock.
Don't miss our exciting Exhibition SUP Technical Course featuring 1000 meters with 8 buoy turns and up to 8 paddlers on the course at a time! This race takes place on SUNDAY before the Dragon Boat racing begins.
All proceeds from the event support Gig Harbor's ten-time national champion sprint canoe/kayak racing team, which serves community youth ages 8 - 18, para-athletes, and adults. GHCKRT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and its programs are open to all interested community members.
