Key West Paddle Classic

Welcome to the 25th Annual Key West Paddle Classic! As a Favorite Destination Race- we offer one of the largest paddle categories on the East Coast!
Course:
Starting point is at Higgs Beach, Paddle South toward the Southernmost Point, through the Key West harbor, around the USCG base and under the Fleming Key Bridge. From here we cross the sailboat mooring field and paddle around Dredger's Key (Sigsbee) into Cow Key Channel which connects Key West and Stock Island. Exit Cow Key Channel back out at the front side and continue past Smather's Beach and White St. Pier to return to Higgs Beach for the finish.

SUP Rules - 5 stroke max. applies
Drafting: Same Gender, Same Class Only
4 hours to complete race
*IF you (or someone on your team) must paddle on your knees please alert the timing team once you (or the last paddler if on a team) come across the finish line to disqualify yourself for any awards. Thank you for your playing fair!
To Compete:
Race division/category must have at least 3 competitors to be considered for a podium finish. This also applies to gender.
Safety:
PFD is required by the USCG to compete in race
Leash is recommended
Paddlers responsible for supplying their own hydration
Safety Boats will line the course at Start, Key West Harbor, Fleming, Cow Key, Smathers, White St./Higgs.
FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE

Team Captains: (which is whoever registers first and pays for registration)
You must have all your team mates register on Paddleguru under a separate event page/link to complete their own Race Waiver and select Shirt size in order to complete your registration. There is NO charge! Please direct team mates to the link below (or feel free to copy/paste/email link to them)

Key West Harbor- High 6:32am Low 11:46am
Fleming Key Channel (Northeast side of Fleming Key*) approx. 2miles from bridge) High 8:32 am Low 1:30pm
*we paddle South side so expect tides to be ahead about an hour - what this means to us is that the prediction will be about slack at 12:30pm at bridge. Fastest paddlers may catch the end of the out going tide through harbor but it is a small tide, thankfully.
Dredgers Key/Sigsbee - High 8:30am Low 1:52pm
Cow Key Channel - High 8:27am Low 1:51pm
