The race starting line is at the Day Use Area/Single Vehicle Parking at Devils Fork State Park in Salem, Oconee County, SC. If headed south on SC Highway 11, the park entrance is reached by turning right off of SC Highway 11 onto Boone Creek Rd/State Rd S-37-127. Then at Boone's Creek Baptist Church take a right onto Jocassee Lake Rd/State Rd S-37-25, and proceed to the State Park entrance. There are brown directional signs to Devils Fork State Park at the turnoffs from SC Highway 11. If you are using a GPS, we suggest you use the address for Eclectic Sun, which is at the starting line: 238 Buckeye Drive, Salem, SC.

The post-race awards ceremony is at the Jocassee Valley Brewing Company on Highway 11. From Devils Fork State Park, turn right onto Highway 11. The taproom is two miles on the left; parking is in the rear of the building. Their Oktoberfest event continues in the evening, with music, craft brews and food.

Devils Fork State Park has tent camping and rental villas. Contact the State Park directly for more information. October is prime autumn foliage season and reservations book quickly. There are several other State Parks in the vicinity which also have camp sites available. Oconee County has several beautiful nearby parks with camping, as well.
