The Lake Murray Paddle Club presents the eighth annual Lake Murray Paddle Classic on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Rusty Anchor / Catfish Johnny's Restaurant (1925 Johnson Marina Road, Chapin, SC 29036).  

Welcome to paddlers of all types (SUPs, prone, OC, surfski, kayak, etc.)! 

There are races for all skill levels — short- and long-distance courses for beginner through elite paddlers, a first-timer's challenge, kids' race, SUP pup race and a race featuring our Special Olympics South Carolina  Area 7 SUP team. 

Race proceeds benefit South Carolina Special Olympics.  

The Lake Murray Paddle Classic is the second-to-last race in the 2018 Southern Stoke Race Series, a summer series of races throughout the Southeast. In addition to racing, take an opportunity to visit our sponsor tents. This is a weekend of family fun — come join us! 

Race-day registration is an additional $20 for 7-mile and 3.5 mile races only. Save yourself $20 and register by Sept. 20. Race registration includes buffet lunch and race t-shirt (for 1-mile, 3.5-mile and 7-mile race events only). Register by Sept. 2 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. 

Packet Pickup is Friday, Sept. 20, 4-8pm at the British Bulldog Pub at 1220 Bower Pkwy, Columbia, SC 29212.

Late registration (additional $20) and packet pickup is Saturday, Sept. 21, 7-8am at the race site, Catfish Johnny's/Rusty Anchor, 1925 Johnson Marina Rd., Chapin, SC 29036.
