Milford Championship Race 2019

The Milford Championship race will be held on Saturday June 29th from Gulf Beach with long and short courses:
Please register BY 8pm on Thursday 27th June - after then the cost will go up by $10 because it is a pain :)
Short Course ~ 4 to 4.5 Miles
OC1, OC2, Surfski, Double Surfski, Fast Kayaks, SUP, Prone, Etc (no board class breakout for SUP division).
(Please note that the short course doesn't qualify for the ECORA Point Series)
Long Course ~ 9 Miles
OC1, OC2, Surfski, Double Surfski, Fast Kayaks, SUP, Prone, Etc!. Divisions for Men, Women & Mixed.
The race is part of the ECORA Point Series.
As usual we will determine the exact race course in the week of the race based on the prevailing weather. Likely to be two laps as this has been very well received and if we're lucky we'll get some bumps.
Cost is $40 per paddler for registrations before the cut off.
Included with registration will be a post-race luau including beverages until OUR well runs dry. If you would like to attend the luau, but are not racing, it will be $20 per person. Please pre-register for this so we can have an accurate head count for catering.
Parking UPDATE - Milford have literally just installed ticket machines in the lot where the club is situated so we no longer have quite the flexibility and deal we once did - IE if we were there early we just avoided the attendant. So, it means the options this year are:
Unload on the beach but then:
- Move to the lot on the other side of the street - and pay $20;
- Move to the lot on the other side of the street - and risk a ticket of $30;
- Move round the corner to one of the side streets where there aren't yet any restrictions - Ranch is 3 minutes away!
Sorry about this, it's a pain for us all - trust me :)
- You can unload in the parking spots next to the beach. However, please move all cars to the lot opposite the beach as it will be free to park as long as you are in there by 8.30am when the attendant arrives.
