The Third and Final Race of the Va'a Season!

The registration fee increases on Wednesday, February 26th.

Registration closes at midnight on Thursday, February 27th.

No late registrations will be accepted on Friday or race day — no exceptions.

This series was created to give a dedicated race to V1 and get all paddlers on the same craft. 

There will be a JUNIOR (19 an under),  OPEN (20 - 39) , MASTERS (anyone 40+) ,  Senior Masters (anyone 50+) and Golden Master (anyone 60+)  division for both men and women. 

The series will reflect a point series and at the end of the series - awards will be given out at the final race!

Race #1 - January 4, 2025 - Medium Distance - 9-mile race

Race #2 - Feb 1, 2025 - Long Distance - 15 miles - Marina Del Rey

Race #3 - March 1, 2025 - Marathon Distance - 21 miles 

The 21 mile race will be scored with the same scoring table as the series points (25 pts for first, etc.)  The sprint will be lower weighted (1st. 8 pts, 2nd. 7 pts,  3rd 6 pts.. etc..). These scores will be added together, which will be the place for this race.

Sign up for the event and you will be placed in the 9-mile course and the sprint. 

You may select your jersey size and purchase your jersey to race in at an additional cost. It's the same jersey throughout the entire series, so you will only need to purchase one.

Points below are rewarded per event for place finished (by division if 4 or more participants)  Totaled at end of season.  
In the case of a points tie, the times are totaled, and winner is fastest time.
1st -   25pts

2nd - 18pts

3rd -  15 pts

4th -  12 pts

5th -  10 pts

6th -   8 pts

7th  -  6 pts

8th -   4 pts

9th -   2 pts

10th - 1 pts

Places below 10th ranked by time totals.  Seasonal rankings will be updated on google doc sent to racers.
