Neptunalia Winter Challenge presented by BIC SUP

Events: 10 mile race, 6 mile race, and 3 mile race.

The 2016 Neptunalia Challenge is a one day event following the 2016 SURF EXPO,

featuring an Elite SUP ONLY 10 Mile Course – SLAY THE KRAKEN with a $3500

PURSE, this race and the DRAGON OPEN will begin promptly at 9am, heading north in

the Banana River, up the Grand Canal entering the Banana River again, with a

potentially fun downwind return back to Oars & Paddles Park. There are 2 other

courses, the Manatee Madness 6 mile Open and the Dolphin Dash 3 Mile course, this

two courses will start shortly after the 10 milers.

This is our 2nd year for this race. Our inaugural race hosted 113 paddle craft, 103 SUP

and 10 KAYAK & OC. Points for WPA & Fastest in Florida will count in the Kraken &

Dragon courses only, timing is everything.

You do not have to race to join the water/land YOGA class that will take place during

the race. Come out to cheer on the racers from Mathers Bridge, take in the acoustic

sounds of Sam Sims and enjoy the onsite vendors and demos.
