Small Boat Race: OC1/2, SUP, Surfski, V1

Location: Fred’s Marina, 12800 NW Marina Way, Portland OR 97231

Course length: 4 miles or 8 miles

Join Wasabi Paddling Club for the first winter series race of 2025! The long course begins at Fred's Marina on Multnomah Channel, continues out to Willamette River and turns past St. John's Bridge,  goes back to Multnomah Channel and turns past Wapato Bridge to return to finish line. This is an 8-mile-long course of 4 distinct legs with stunning views at each turn. Short course follows same route but turns well before St. John’s Bridge.

Fee: $35 (includes parking) + credit card fee

We’ll check weather forecast up to event time. Quite often it’s a spectacular winter paddle day!

Paddlers are required to have a Coast Guard approved I, II, III or V PFD, also a whistle.

Non-motorized craft over 10’ in Oregon waterways are required to have an OR Waterway Access Permit. Please refer to link to determine your responsibility:   https://www.oregon.gov/osmb/boater-info/pages/ais-faqs.aspx 

We'll have coffee and snacks before, homemade soups after the race. Awards await!
