As part of the Southern Stoke Series for 2019, Aloha Paddle Sports, in partnership with Charlotte Cycleboats, will host this 8th annual Stand Up Paddle Board Race and fundraiser.  The event will be hosted on Lake Norman August 3rd, 2019 at the beautiful Peninsula Yacht Club in Cornelius, NC.  All proceeds from Paddle4Purpose will go towards supporting  Big Day at the Lake (http://bigdayatthelake.com/) and the Surfrider Foundation (https://charlotte.surfrider.org/).

PADDLE EVENTS

6.5 Mile Elite Long Course  

SUP 14' and under and Open Class (SUP Unlimited, OC, Surfski, Kayak, Prone)

This course will go out across the open water of Lake Norman where wind and boats can cause heavy chop and has the potential to mimic ocean bays and sounds on any given day (or it may be flat as a pancake)

$65 online, $85 day of event

3.0 Mile Recreational Short Course -SUP 17u and 18+

SUP 14, 12'6", and Under 12'6"

The recreational course will be a two lap race mostly within the confines of the sheltered cove

$45 online , $65 day of event

1.0 Mile Beginner Fun Race 

No age or board classes - Just a "run what you got" race

The beginner course will be a short TBD course staying in closer to the event site 

$25 online , $35 day of event

Kids SUP Race - Ages 13 and Under 

Free (No T-shirt)

Places 1st-3rd Podium Awards will be given in the following categories provided there are at least 5 participants in that category:

 Under 12'6" Men, Under 12'6" Women

LODGING OPTIONS:

For out of town guests, we have secured limited room blocks with special event rates for August 2nd-3rd  at a couple of hotels local to the race site.
