WHAT: RETURN TO GOAT ISLAND FOR THE BENEFIT OF OPERATION SECOND CHANCE
Paddle Second Chance will join forces with Walk on Water on SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2019 and host the next Return to Goat Island Paddle Sports Festival benefiting Operation Second Chance, the LARGEST paddle board, kayak and surf ski race in the Delmarva region.

WHO: OPEN TO ALL FORMS OF PADDLING: SUP, KAYAK & SURF SKI
Return to Goat Island will include a short distance children’s FUN race (Kids will race together on giant inflatables), 1-mile open race for first-time paddle boarders and a 6-mile recreational flat water race designed for the intermediate to advanced paddler. And, for those looking to push their limits, there will be a 17-mile flat water race (which is the only race open to ALL forms of paddling) on the beautiful Pocomoke River.
PLEASE NOTE: *** 17-MILE FLAT WATER RACE IS THE ONLY RACE OPEN TO ALL FORMS OF PADDLING INCLUDING: OC-1, OC-2, OC-6, Surfski, Prone and SUP Unlimited. *** THERE MUST BE FIVE "ALIKE" CRAFTS IN ANY RACE CATEGORY TO RECEIVE AN AWARD ***
Race Distances
1-mile Warriors Race (beginners)
6-mile race (intermediate/advanced)
17-mile Return to Goat Island Solo (advanced/elite)
Kids FUN race
***All kids will race together on giant inflatables***
***Kids sign up on race day at Registration***
Race participants will circle Goat Island and then travel farther along the river course, underneath the cover of shade trees, through the scenic water trail of Shad Landing and down river to the turning buoy off Milburn Landing, then repeating the course in the opposite direction.
AWARDS CEREMONY & POST-RACE BBQ CELEBRATION

ALL COMPETITORS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR USCG-APPROVED PFD's AND BRING LEASHES
RACE CAN BE CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
