The 5th Smith Mountain Lake Stand Up Paddleboard

Race will be held Saturday, September 16 from 9 am - 1 pm at Smith

Mountain Lake Community Park in Moneta.

Get your paddleboards ready

for this awesome race! If you like to paddle you need to come and try this 2 or 4 mile course on Smith Mountain Lake. All ages are welcome to compete in the race

or try out some paddleboards. The public will get to try free paddle boarding

through hands-on demonstrations from 10:30 am - 1 pm.

Mountain 2 Island

Paddleboard Company will be available to rent SUP’s for racers who may prefer a

different board or post race rentals for those who would like to try the race

route at a more leisurely pace or explore the peninsula.

The race begins on the

sandy community park beach. Racers will paddle to and around a small island for

a route approximately 2 and 4 miles in length.

The awards ceremony will directly

following the race. Top finishers will receive custom Shaw & Tenney mini

SUP Paddles.

Free food and beverages

will be available pre and post race.

Race begins at 9:30

am.  Day of registration begins at 8:30. $15.00 pre pay/registration or $30.00 day of pay/registration.
