High Country Outfitters is proud to bring you our "Stand Up for the Hooch" race for the 8th consecutive year! Paddle the famous Chattahoochee River, just minutes from downtown Atlanta.  All ages and ability levels are welcome, and there will be a free kids' race.  First time paddlers are encouraged to participate, and experts will enjoy the chance to experience one of the biggest races in the southeast! Family and friends are welcome to watch from the start at Morgan Falls Overlook Park in Sandy Springs, GA. We're excited to be a point qualifying race in the Southern Stoke Paddle Series again for the 2019 season.  This year's race will have 2 courses: a 2 mile race and an 6 mile race. NEW for 2019!  We are opening the race to additional watercraft for the Long Course Only! Prone, Surfski, Outrigger Canoe (OC1, OC2), & Kayaks! These craft classes do not qualify for Southern Stoke Paddle Series Points.

For your safety and accurate timing, we kindly ask that you wear the Patagonia race jersey. The river will be busy on Sunday, and it's important for the safety boat and the timing team to know who exactly is a part of the event! Not to mention, they are awesome!
