General Info:

The Stellar Kayaks Paddle Attic East Coast Ocean Surfski Championship offers Ocean Racing on a course viewable from the Hollywood Broadwalk. The race on Saturday, October 16th is part of a race filled weekend hosted by Hollywood Ocean Rescue that begins on October 15th with the Paddle Attic AS Quick as You Can one design race. The week of racing, clinics and demos concludes on October 17th with the Lanakila Iki Ocean Challenge and Venturesport's Surfski Sprints "Round the Cans" race.

We are honored to partner with the Lanakila Iki Outrigger Canoe Club for this event.  Lanakila Iki's eight mile races on Sunday October 17th completes a great week of racing and offers travelling canoe paddlers an opportunity to participate in four races on the intercoastal and ocean.

Stellar Paddle Attic East Coast Ocean Surfski Championship on October 16th presented by Hollywood Surf Lifsaving Club is open to Surfski, Outrigger Canoe, Fast Kayak and Race Boards over 6- and 12-mile ocean courses.

Lanakila Iki Ocean Challenge on October 17th presented by Lanakila Iki Outrigger Canoe Club is for OC-6 on 8-mile ocean courses.

All classes will be awarded - no minimum entries per class. The racecourses are visible from Hollywood Beach and along the inside line, friends and family members may cheer on their racers. Proceeds of the event go to the Hollywood Beach Safety Competition Teams. We are honored to host the 19th edition of this historic event.

Surfski, OC-1/OC-2, SUP 14 Race Baord and Surfboat - A single-entry fee allows you to compete on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The start for Saturday’s ocean race is wet with paddlers/crew on their craft. The finish will be dry where the racers will paddle to the beach, dismount and run/jog/walk/crawl with their paddle a short distance to the finish line. Boat caddies will gently move craft to the beach to insure a clean finish area.

Safety of the paddlers is a prime concern. Leashes and Vests are required for all paddlers except for lifeguard paddled Spec Surfskis.

Several manufacturers and experts will be on the beach offering demos and basic instruction along with event sponsors showcasing their products.  Check out the new Stellar Falcon.

Racers will receive event Rash guards - Refreshments at the finish line for racers on Saturday.
