California Canoe & Kayak Annual Support Strokes Kayak/SUP Paddle and Race.
Make Every Stroke Count!
All proceeds benefit Oakland’s Charlotte Maxwell Clinic (provides free cancer care to low income women). A local non-profit. Last years event raised $8,000 this year's goal $15,000 or more!

This is the 14th year we have hosted Support Strokes. We would want to encourage more racers to join the cause. The Epic Expert Race course is from Jack London Square to the Bay Bridge and Back. This course will be timed and prizes include an Epic Paddle
This event is open to all Paddlers and Paddlecraft Novice to Expert Paddlers welcome.
Beginners Course; Coast Guard Island and Back;
Intermediate Course: Park St Bridge and Back and the
Epic Expert Course (Bay Bridge and Back).
The event is followed by a raffle and refreshments.
Kayak or SUP Board rental free if you raise $150 or more for Charlotte Maxwell Clinic. Only 10 bucks for a rental otherwise. You must reserve your rental in advance by calling 510-893-7833
