When racing in the Marathon  race, you will experience the most scenic section of the historic Suwannee River. 

Race Divisions include canoe, kayak and SUP. Please note that you must single blade if registered as a canoe. Racers over 50 yo may choose to race in the Masters division.

Paddlers are required to portage around the class III rapids at Big Shoals. The portage trail is clearly marked on the left side of the river before the Shoals. Racers can reenter the river at several spots below the rapids. Paddlers will pass through several class I rapids including Little Shoals before reaching the finish line at the State Road 136 bridge in White Springs. 

Award paddles will be given to the overall winners and division winners. Second and third place winners will receive medals. All racers will receive a race shirt.
