Race events take place along the beautiful waterways of downtown Tampa, launching from Downtown Tampa's Cotanchobee Park. Race divisions include elite, recreational, corporate teams, krewes, kids, and sprints. See top athletes compete in this live MC'd sporting event featuring food trucks, live music, exhibits ,vendors, and a live raffle with lots of great prizes!

The Gasparilla SUP invasion is part of Tampa RiverFest 2016  - a free, annual event presented by Friends of the Riverwalk in conjunction with the City of Tampa. The two-day event features happenings in every downtown Tampa park along the Riverwalk including the Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Races, the Tampa Bay Bloody Mary Festival, The Mayor's Mac & Cheese Throwdown,  The Florida Aquarium Penguin Waddle, SPCA Florida, Kids Play Zone, interactive performances and live jazz along the RiverWalk.
