ALOHA! WELCOME TO THE GORGE RACE 2019!
RACE ENTRY WILL BE CAPPED AT 60 WOMEN/MIXED BOATS AND 40 MEN'S BOATS. ENTER SOON - WOMEN/MIXED IS GETTING CLOSE TO CAPACITY!
ALL REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE THURSDAY, JULY 11th.
OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENT THAT BRINGS OUR PADDLING COMMUNITY TOGETHER IN A BEAUTIFUL SCENIC ENVIRONMENT WHILE INSPIRING A RACE THAT CHALLENGES PADDLERS TO BRING THEIR BEST.
The Gorge Outrigger Canoe Race is a 2 day paddling event featuring races, clinics and camping. Paddlers gather from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California to celebrate the culture of canoe paddling and years of friendship. Hosted by Waterwalker in the beautiful town of Stevenson, WA.

Race Packet Pickup & Paperwork
- Have your waivers signed (7 papers total per team, 6 insurance, 1 release)

- Pick up Boat Number
- Pick up Race Jerseys (mandatory to wear for race participants)
- Submit your Insurance and Liability Waivers (please have each team member sign before lining up)
- If sharing canoes READ THIS > Men's Race Number goes on first UNDER the Women/Mix Race Number. When you change crews at mens start, peel off the Women/Mix Number to expose the Men's Number. DON'T FORGET!
- Please be prepared for changing weather conditions, a damp night and cloudy morning may very well lead to sunny skies with winds to 25 mph and 3 foot swells!
- Skirts are required on all OC6 canoes.

- Safety boats will patrol the courses but crews are responsible for themselves – please be efficient at righting your canoes swiftly!
- Everyone must wear a PFD (life-jacket) while racing on the river. Inflatables approved.
Race registration instructions:
- There are 2 races. 1) Mixed/Women from Stevenson to Drano 2) Men's Race from Drano to Bingen. However, we have set up 3 events per race so you can register multiple teams.
For example, if you are registering one Men's Race team, select "Men's Race - 1st Team". If you are registering two Men's Teams, please first add your first team "Men's Race - 1st Team" and then add "Men's Race - 2nd Team" etc etc. Same applies for mixed and women. - Please designate a team registrar who can collect the fee's etc, as it will be a total of $330 + RaceHub Fee
- Before you register you will need:
1) Jersey Size of each teammate
2) Name of your team (UNIQUE NAME FOR RESULTS ie: Use "Hawaiian Canoe Club Masters Men" Not just the club name "Hawaiian Canoe Club"
3) Credit Card for fee
