The Great Ohio River Odyssey is the premier race apart of the 2019 Kentucky Waterman Series and of the longest-running paddlesports races in Kentucky. Paddlers will have the chance to take on two unique courses on waterways in the Greater Louisville, KY area: The Westport to Downtown Louisville 22 Mile Race (this is a point to point race, a perfect tune-up for folks preparing to take on the Chattajack 31) and the 7 Mile Captains Quarters to Downtown Race. The event is run in conjunction with the National Jug Band Jubilee. What does that mean for paddlers?! At the finish line area at Louisville's Waterfront Park, there will be amazing music festival featuring a talented showcase of musicians who are preserving the tradition of Jug Band music; which was originated by 19th-century African-American musicians in Louisville. Racers will also receive food tickets to enjoy the food trucks at the festival! This an event you don't want to miss! #GreatOhioRiverOdyssey #ExploreKentucky
If racing isn't your jam, that is okay! You can still float with us 7 miles from Captain Quarters to Downtown Louisville on the Ohio River.
