This inaugural prone paddle event on the Central Coast will be raising funds for OpenWater in support of Avila Lifeguards. OpenWater is a registered 501c3 serving first responders through unique training programs, fellowship, and open water adventures. We are excited to celebrate prone paddling together, show case our beautiful Avila and Port San Luis beaches and have fun in support of our local Lifeguards.
RACE CATEGORIES
- Lifeguard and Rescue category/Stock (12’ or less) – Men’s and Women’s (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) Short Course Only (4mi)
- Women’s Open (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) Long Course (8mi)
- Stock 12’ - Men’s (1st – 3rd, under 18, under 50, and over 50) Long Course (8mi)
- Unlimited (over 14’) - Men’s (1st – 3rd, under 18, under 50, and over 50) Long Course (8mi)
PRIZES
- All entrants receive t-shirt and reuseable tote bag of goodies/swag.
- Free ticket for beverage of choice or dessert at Mersea’s.
- Raffle entry to all paddlers.
- Grand prize raffle for board provided by Bark Boards.
- Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase
REGISTRATION + RACE SWAG
- Race Day registration is available for $85
- All racers must be registered through paddleguru
- While the event will do everything possible to accommodate sign up gifts, all sign ups after March 31 or beyond 60 paddlers may experience limited shirt and tote availability. All paddlers will be eligible for the RAFFLE and FREE Meresea's Treat regardless of sign up date.
