About OpenWater
We are a community of surfers, adventurers and advocates who have joined together to support those who protect us.
Operation OpenWater’s efforts started with surfing. With each wave the transformative experience of the ocean can challenge the body, liberate the soul and unite our hearts. It’s an experience that bonds and even heals. It’s also just the beginning.
We are here to serve the everyday men and women of our armed forces and our first responder agencies who put their life on the line for our communities and our country. They focus on missions to protect our lives and our livelihoods and provide our country with the stability to enjoy freedom and a hopeful future.
The mission is vital, yet the toll can be heavy. Operation OpenWater aims to lighten that burden. Through open water adventures, we aspire to promote camaraderie, wellness and build a connected community for military, veterans and first responders.
