DASH FOR CASH!! -NEW RACE ADDED- A 100 yard sprint race held at our open water races location. Thanks to our great sponsors we have $50. for first place male and female in SUP, kayak, canoe and surf ski classes. NO ENTRY FEE, but must be registered for one of our other open water or down river races. Open water races are now a 2 mile Family Fun Race replacing the 4 mile, (our racers told us the 4 and 6 mile were too close in length), and 6 mile Elite Race. The new 2 mile Family Fun Race is great for families and anyone new to the sport with a competitive spirit. Open water races are a 2 mile loop held in a sheltered bay off Huddy Park. Open water racers are typically SUPs, surf skis, outrigger canoe, recreation and touring kayaks, rowing shells and closed hull life guard rowboats. The down river race is 8.5 miles of shallow fresh water stream with many turns and becomes tidal near the finish. Down river racers are typically solo and tandem canoes and kayaks. As always free transportation for you and your boat to the start. Also our new Youth Tandem Canoe Fun Race was a big hit last year with a shorter 4.5 mile course for 16 year old and younger paddlers. Scout leaders and or parents responsible for transportation to the start.
Class winners receive our famous wooden paddle trophy for 1st place, 2nd and 3rd place receive a race medal. A minimum of two paddlers required in class for awards.
FREE T SHIRT TO THE FIRST 40 RACERS REGISTERED!
For your safety PFD's are required and SUP paddlers should have a leash. If crossing the finish line without a PFD you will not be scored. You should also have appropriate foot wear.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit "Restore Amity Island" a project over seen by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.
Come paddle with us for safe fun day on the water.
