V6 Nationals on Feb. 2, 2025.
How to qualify as an Adult V6 Crew to represent USA: Adult athletes can compete for the chance to represent the U.S. Mainland in 2025 by racing o win a qualifying slot at the U.S. Nationals event in 2025.
All V6 crews must be composed of members of clubs within USAORCA regions (ECORA,NCOCA, PNWORCA, and SCORA). Crews can be built from free agents, but all crewmembers must be or become members of an affiliated USAORCA member club before racing at U.S. Nationals.
All members of a crew must be official residents of the U.S. for at least 6 months prior to the Brazil event, preferably before Jan. 15, 2025. The top finishers in each age division at U.S. Nationals, male and female, will be offered the USA slot in their age division for Brazil. Should the top crew turn down the slot, the second-place crew will be offered the slot if their times are also competitive. Note that V6 canoes at U.S. Nationals will all go out together on race day. That means that an individual cannot be seated in more than one crew.
Please keep this in mind when you set your V6 crew for U.S. Nationals and choose wisely. A crew can be up to 8 individuals (two alternates). However, at least three members from the crew of 6 that qualifies at U.S. Nationals must go to Brazil
