USA Surfing National Championships 2024
Attention: Due to a delay in the Harbor dredging schedule, the City of Oceanside has moved this event to the south side of the Oceanside Pier. Updated course maps will be posted shortly.
This the USA National Championships for SUP Surfing and SUP Racing, as well as the Team USA Trials for the ISA World SUP & Paddleboard Championship Team. This year will also feature the 5K Age Group National Championship Race. The 5K Age Group race is open to everyone.
Juniors wishing to also compete in Open Men or Women must register and pay for both divisions.
All races are in the open ocean.

June 14, Friday:
SUP Surf (enter at USA Surfing) (Team USA ISA Qualifier)
Trophies will be awarded to the top 4 finalists in SUP Surf.
All SUP Surf participants will receive an event T-shirt and lunch.
June 15, Saturday:
1. SUP 5K Age Group National Championship Race
2. SUP 10K Distance Race (Team USA ISA Qualifier)
3. Technical SUP Races 3K (Team USA ISA Qualifier)
8:00-8:30 am - Check in for 5K Age Group & 10K ISA Qualifier SUP Distance Races
8:40 am - Race briefing
9:00 am - ISA Qualifier 10K Race Start
9:05 am - 5K Age Group Start
Start outside of the surf line (water start), and finish on the beach (through the waves).
Leashes and PFD's are mandatory.
Technical Sup Races and Technical Prone Races (Team USA ISA Qualifier)
Beach start and finish, with multiple laps in and out of the surf.
Junior Men's SUP will race with Men's Sup, and Junior Women's SUP will race with Women's SUP.
10:30-11:00am - Technical SUP Race Check-in
11:15am - Technical SUP Briefing
11:30am - Technical Race Warm-up
11:50am - Prone Technical Men
12:10 - Prone Technical Women
12:30pm - SUP Men Technical Race
12:50pm - SUP Women Technical Race

*ISA Qualifier Races are only open to US Citizens.
Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in all racing categories.
All participants will receive an event T-shirt and lunch.
ISA Qualification:
For the Men's & Women's SUP Distance Races, SUP Technical Races, SUP Prone Technical and SUP Surfing (Open Divisions), the top (1 Man, 1 Woman) finishers in each event will qualify for the US National Team for ISA World Championships. For Junior Men SUP, Junior Women SUP the 1st place finisher will qualify for the US National Team for the ISA World Championships. Qualification for the Men's & Women's SUP 200 Meter ISA Sprint Race (1 Man, 1 Woman) will be selected from within the group of athletes who qualify in any of the above mentioned divisions.
