Venturesports Surfski Sprints on May 5th is open to Surfski, SUP, Prone Paddleboard and OC-1 for Round the Cans racing on a traditional 800 meter course. Spectators are able to see the full race from start to finish and can cheer on their racers while enjoying a day on the beach.   Proceeds of the event go to the Hollywood Beach Safety Competition Teams. 

Paddlers can run the course up to three times with their best time counting for score.

All starts are at the shore line.  Starts for Unlimited Surfski and OC-1 will be wet with paddlers on their craft. Starts for Spec Surfski and Prone Paddleboard are jump starts.  Starts for SUP may be wet or jump starts.  The finish will be wet with the racers crossing an in water finish line.  

Safety of the paddlers is a prime concern. Leashes and Vests are required for all paddlers with the exception of lifeguard paddled Spec Surfskis.

Several manufacturers and experts will be on the beach offering demos and basic instruction along with event sponsors showcasing their products.
