Join in for the urban mystique of paddling thru Sacramento. The American River, in the location of this race, does not have much elevation change. No rapids or fast moving water at the current flows. Water depth is "plenty good" for all paddlers. 

Two courses for your added enjoyment, both start at the same time, same start line in opposite directions!! The start/finish line is at Camp Pollock approximately mid way thru the courses.The long course starts down river and turns around the last bridge before the Sacramento River and paddlers then paddle past the start line and proceed to the up river turning point, the HWY 80 bridge. Then back down river 2.2 miles to the finish.

The short course starts upriver and turns around the HWY 80 bridge and returns to the finish.

Long course 7.6 miles, short course 4.4 miles.

You will pass beneath 18 bridges on the long course and 12 on the short course!
