Thank you for signing up for the 35th Annual Sea Trek Regatta and Environmental Traveling Companions Benefit. We are excited to bring the Regatta back after a one year hiatus, celebrating a great day of paddling for a good cause.

The air quality was great today and with the predicted weather before Saturday we feel confident it will be a perfect day for paddling.

PLEASE READ BELOW - This email contains important information regarding the schedule and other details for the Regatta you'll find helpful in navigating race day.

*Friday, Oct. 20th*

Optional early check-in 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Sea Trek

Come get your race number early and avoid the race morning rush. You'll get your t-shirt and tickets for lunch and beer.

We'll have some chips and salsa to kick off the celebratory weekend. Join us!

6:30 am - 8:00 am Boat / Board drop off

AT THE BAY MODEL - FOR ALL SEA TREK RENTALS, SINGLES, SUP AND PRONE BOARDS

AT SCHOONMAKER BEACH - BEACH FOR ALL DOUBLES, ETC BOATS AND OUTRIGGERS

7 am - 8:15 am Racer Check-in - Bay Model

You will get your lunch and drink ticket, 2017 Regatta Paddling Shirt and racer number.

8:00 am - 8:15 am Tides and Currents at Bay Model

8:15 am - 9:00 am Skippers Meeting at Bay Model - Mandatory

9:00 am - 10:00 am Get on the Water!

Race Starts at 10:15 sharp - All Categories and All Courses

11:30 am - 4:00 pm On water Demos by Epic, Ocean Paddle Sports and On The Water 360

11:30- 1:45 pm Lunch by Dabba

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Awards and Opportunity Drawing

Parking and Launching your Paddle Craft

For all racers with their own Double Kayaks, Outrigger Canoes and Triples you will be launching your craft from Schoonmaker Beach. When you first arrive please drop your boat off at Schoonmaker Beach, park at 30 Liberty Ship then walk over to the Bay Model for registration check-in. See Map attached.

For all single kayaks, and all Stand Up Paddle/ Prone boards you will be launching from the Sea Trek docks at the Bay Model. Parking will be available at the bay Model. Additional parking is at 30 Liberty Ship Way. Please see map attached.

For all people renting from Sea Trek, including doubles, you will launch from the Sea Trek docks. Please park at 30 Liberty Ship Way if at all possible. Please see map attached.

Safety on the water

All racers are required to wear a PFD. No exceptions.

All Stand Up Paddle boarders are required to wear a leash. No exceptions.

We will have a solid set of safety boats on the water during the event monitoring VHF Channel 68.

Remember the spirit of the Regatta while on the water, if you see someone in need stop and help them. We are responsible for each others’ safety on the water.

The start line will be in the same historical spot, marked by two Buoys anchored in the middle of Richardson Bay.
The finish line will be marked by two Buoys anchored next to the Matthew Turner Tall Ship (at Sea Trek). This will be set up before the race starts so that you can see where the timers and finish line are located.
The Food is included in your race fees. Extra lunch tickets can be purchased for $15/ person. Lunch will be served from 11:30 - 1:45 pm. Food will be from Dabba, Ethnic Confusion inspired food.
Opportunity Drawing. Don't miss out on these awesome prizes!
This is our version of a raffle. Prizes include a Sea Trek Baja trip, SUP paddle from 101 Surf Sports, a Kokatat PFD, OnBoardSUP yoga Classes and a tent from The North Face. Tickets can be purchased online or on race day. Only 250 tickets will be sold. One ticket can be purchased for $25, and five tickets can be purchased for $100. Purchase online here. All proceeds from raffle will go to support ETC's scholarship program.
