Crosswind Paddle Company & East Coast Board Sports

present - The 2016 Virginia SUP Cup, a benefit race for the Richmond Justice

Initiative (RJI). The race will be held on the James River just outside of the

capital city on August 6, 2016 at the American Legion Landing in Midlothian,

VA. There will be a Short Course (2.0 mi) for beginner and recreational

paddlers and a Long Course (4.0 mi) for more experienced racers. The course

will be a flatwater race and will feature buoys for racers to circuit. After

the races have concluded, there will be an award ceremony with gifts and

prizes, as well as beer, food, and music for participants and guests

to enjoy. All racers will receive a free commemorative event t-shirt

upon registration. If you are interested in the race but do not have your own

SUP board, have no fear, SUP rentals will be available courtesy of East Coast

Board Sports. The rentals will be offered on a first come first serve basis, so

make sure you to put your name in early! You may contact Sutton to inquire

Justice Initiative, whose goal is to
educate, equip and mobilize communities with the tools needed to

be a force in the global movement to end human trafficking.
