The 7th Annual Smith Mountain Lake Stand Up Paddleboard Race will be held Saturday, September 21st from 9:30pm - 10:30 pm at Smith Mountain Lake Community Park in Moneta.

Get your paddleboards ready for this awesome race! If you like to paddle you need to come and try this 2 or 4 mile course on Smith Mountain Lake. All ages are welcome to compete in the race or try out some paddleboards. 

Mountain 2 Island Paddleboard Company mountain2island will be available to rent SUP’s for racers who may prefer a different board.

 The race begins on the sandy community park beach. Racers will paddle to and around a small island for a route approximately 2 and 4 miles in length. 

New for 2019 is a 6 mile surfski catagory and 2 mile Kayak catagory. 

The awards ceremony will directly follow the race at an off site location 10 minutes away. Awards ceremony, raffle, Food and Drinks will be held at Rancho Viejo 404 Crazy Horse Dr, Moneta, VA 24121

Race begins at 9:30 am.  Day of registration begins at 8:30 pm. $30.00 pre pay/registration or $40.00 day of pay/registration. Register by 8-31-19 to get your shirt.
