Cape SUP Challenge 2016

GENERAL INFO
RACE: There will be 2 categories: Elite division and Open division.
10 Mile Elite Race will consist of a beach start out through the ocean and 10 miles around Cape Henlopen and into Lewes Bay. The finish will be on Lewes Beach in front of the East Of Maui Surf Shop
Elite board divisions: 12'6" female, 12'6" male, 14' male
There will be several Safety boats this year to make sure everyone gets around Cape Henlopen safely. We will also be racing on a incoming tide!
In case the conditions do not cooperate for an ocean race. The 10 mile elite race will be moved to the protected bay location in Lewes and use the same course as the open race. Elite race will be 3 laps around the triangle course for a total of 6 miles.
3 Mile Open Race will be a beach start that enters into the bay and around a triangular shape 3 mile course for 2 laps before finishing on the beach. This course is for all levels and ages.
Open board divisions: Men's 12'5"and under, Women's 12'5" and under, 12'6 men, 12'6 women, 14' men
Board drop off for the ELITE RACE will be at the Dewey Beach East Of Maui on St Louis street on the beach. We will have someone watching the equipment while you drive to our Lewes shop to park. Recommended drop off time is no later than 7:30 There will be free parking at our Lewes shop for the 10 MILE RACERS ONLY with shuttle service back to the Dewey Beach East Of Maui for the start. The last bus will leave the Lewes East Of Maui at 8:00 am. Race meeting will be at 8:45 with a 9:00 am start. Obviously the shops are about 10 Miles apart
3 MILE RACERS must use the public parking facility BAYSIDE on GEORGIA AVE Directly across the street from the Lewes East Of Maui.
