RACE MAP:

*NOTES FOR BOTH SHORT AND LONG COURSES:

• The race course will not be closed to boat traffic.  Please be aware and courteous.
• Use of headphones is very strongly discouraged as that prohibits your ability to safely hear oncoming traffic and other racers. 
• A USGS approved PFD is required to race (on person, or on vessel).  
• Leashes are recommended for safety particularly in the event of wind, but please be aware that paddling close to shore/debris with a leash presents potential hazard and risk to racers.  Be proficient in leash access and release. 
• Racer bibs and bodymarking must be on racer's LEFT side of person (or for OC/SKI/KAYAK if preferred, of craft) visible to timing pavilion.

KIDS' COURSE NOTES: The course will be determined onsite based upon safe conditions and as river current permits, but is expected to be a short distance (~0.5 mi) within sight of the timing station.  PFD is required to race (children under 13 MUST WEAR PFD; on vessel does not count).  Leashes are strongly recommended.
