Saturday (5/18) The 250M Sprint Classic (Heats) (Lunch/Clinics/Demos to follow)
Sunday (5/19) the 10K Distance Goat (Social lunch and float afterwards)
The Sprint Classic 250M (Heats)- Race #1 of 5
The 250M sprint will include 1 buoy turn (down and back) standing water start, water finish. ISA world championships ran this format in 2022 and we copied it in 2023! You will have 2 buoys set evenly at the turn and it is up to you what buoy you decide to turn around, going either left or right, then sprint back to the finish. We feel this format adds a bit of strategy into your decision-making process and still gives equal turning capabilities for your favored side!
Racers will progress through 2-3 heats throughout the morning.
$600 cash purse for top 3 male and female paddlers of this race!
Early Goat Pricing Happening Now! Save $15 on each race! Early goat pricing for this race ends March 1st.
For those new to SUP or SUP sprinting, there will be a fun run sprint! This will be one or two heats. This is a great way to get your feet wet and enjoy an awesome morning of racing with individuals who are out there to have fun too!
The Tega Cay Beach and Swim Center offers great views for you and your family to watch the race and enjoy some beautiful views of Lake Wylie. The Goat Boater Race series is unique in many ways, most notably our 1-mile social paddle directly after the race for all paddlers and guests.
All Around and Race Board Rentals available.
Please plan to join us after at Model A Brewery and Restaurant for lunch and friendship!
Clinics/Demos & Comradery for all, Saturday afternoon.
All Goat Boater Races are SUP only events. There will be no kayaks, OC's or other crafts to dodge.

The 10K Distance Goat and Windjammer Cruise 2K Fun Run - Race #2 of 5
$600 cash purse for top 3 male and female paddlers!
The 10K for 2024 is new and improved! Distance, technical navigation skills, a beautiful variety of water and wind conditions. Race begins at Windjammer Park with a beach start. 50 yards out to your first 90 degree right hand buoy turn. Make a counter clockwise turn around Windjammer Island and watch out for the shallow shore on the backside! Cut diagnol across the main channel where wind and boat waves may be at their best. Upon reaching the far shore you are required to stay on the outside of the bouy and begin your 2 mile trek following shoreline coves into Big Allison. Half way through your race you will make a left hand 180 degree turn around the large Goat Boater Buoy making your way back. On your way back you will take a different path veering further south to Goat Island. Make a counterclockwise turn around the outside of the Island and back to the Bouy on the West side of the main channel. When you hit this bouy you make your last 90 degree right hand turn to sprint across the main channel through the PuckerButt Pepper Company Shark Finish Line for a sandy beach finish with paddle in hand!
The 1 mile Windjammer Fun Run will be a 1 lap course around Windjammer Island and back to the beach. The Ebenezer Cruise (fun run) is also a water start and water finish. This is a great course for having fun with friends and/or getting your feet wet in your first race. Spectators and family will be able to see all the action for the 2K run. All are welcome and encouraged to sign up with your family and kids!
Early Goat Pricing Happening Now! Save $15 on each race! Early goat pricing for this race ends March 1st.

Testimonial: "Full disclaimer- I am 62 this is only my second year of racing and I get severe pre race pre meeting new people jitters. I participated in the Goat Boater Race series 2021- Megan and Rob embrace the spirit of SUP- all who come are welcome - these values are also evident in their race team. There were so many different participants from elite athletes, to families tandem racing, to people new to the sport and/ or racing. It is fun- serious fun during the race- but fun. The racers cheer each other on - even to the last one coming in - I could feel the positive energy of the group. There is a social paddle after the race - a fun way to get to know each other - get tips- and try other equipment out. Megan and Rob are very knowledgable and can help you navigate the different board types if you are ready to move to a race board (or new race board), Race conditions are closely monitored, there are plenty of safety lookouts so those new to paddling in moving water can feel well protected. There is clear communication to participants which I appreciate pre race day and prior to the race start. If one is an experienced SUP racer or a novice there is a place for all in the Goat Boater Series."
