Goat Boater Series - Pirate Treasure (Race 4 of 6) - 6K

July 23 @ 8999 Windjammer Drive, Tega Cay, SC, USA

COURSE MAP

Goat Boater Race Series #4 of 6 - Pirate Treasure (Choose your own path) 6 K.

The Pirate Race might be the most fun and thought provoking of the series!

Minutes before the race you will get your treasure map to the 4 locations containing your treasures!  Best part, you choose your own course to collect all 4 of your treasure coins!  To make IT even more exciting the pirates included a few special coins at each location containing their own significance!

We will start at Windjammer beach with a beach start out through the two starting buoys then it's up to you to decide which way you would like to go to reach all 4 locations.  On your way back in you must go through the two starting buoys again and run up the sand for your beach photo finish!  Beware!  Before finishing you must have all 4 coins or you will be disqualified. Your total distance paddled should be around 6K.

The Fun Run will be a 1 Mile course that still gives paddlers the decision of where they want to go first.  Collect two coins and back to the finish!  This is a great course for having fun with friends and/or getting your feet wet in your first race.  All are welcome and encouraged to sign up with your family and kids!

All Goat Boater Races are SUP only event.  There will be no other kayaks, OC's or other crafts to dodge.

Windjammer offers great views for you and your family to watch the race and enjoy some beautiful views of Lake Wylie.

The Goat Boater Race series is unique in many ways. Most notably our 1-mile social paddle directly after the race for all paddlers and guests.

Testimonial: "Full disclaimer- I am 62 this is only my second year of racing and I get severe pre race pre meeting new people jitters. I participated in the Goat Boater Race series 2021- Megan and Rob embrace the spirit of SUP- all who come are welcome - these values are also evident in their race team. There were so many different participants from elite athletes, to families tandem racing, to people new to the sport and/ or racing. It is fun- serious fun during the race- but fun. The racers cheer each other on - even to the last one coming in - I could feel the positive energy of the group. There is a social paddle after the race - a fun way to get to know each other - get tips- and try other equipment out. Megan and Rob are very knowledgeable and can help you navigate the different board types if you are ready to move to a race board (or new race board), Race conditions are closely monitored, there are plenty of safety lookouts so those new to paddling in moving water can feel well protected. There is clear communication to participants which I appreciate pre race day and prior to the race start. If one is an experienced SUP racer or a novice there is a place for all in the Goat Boater Series."
