Welcome to the 2023 MAPA James River X'ing! On Sunday, Sept. 3rd we are offering two unique races: a 10 mile out and race  for OC-6 teams, SUPs, Kayaks and SurfSkis, or a 5-mile Sprint Race or 3-mile youth race.  Both races will begin and end on the Pagan River from Clontz Park near the heart of Historic Smithfield.  The 10 mile course will travel down the Pagan then up Jones Creek a little over a half a mile, under the bridge at Captain Chuck-A-Muck's and back.  All paddle powered vessels are welcome. This is an ECORA oc-6 point race. Cost: $50 per person before Aug.30th. $60 after Aug 30th. NOTE: We have added a 10 mile (5 out, 5 back) race for SUPs, surfskis, OC-1&2, and kayaks.
