The 2024 North Shore Surfski Invitational is a private open water time trial event open only to paddlers notified and approved by the event initiator.  

The event is being run according to the Common Adventure Model.  Per CAM: 

• There is no event committee or host organization coordinating the event.
• There is no fee to participate.
• There are no services provided.
• Participating paddlers will attend the event briefing session to review possible course options
• The group will collectively select the best option for the event. 
• Participants will commence the event at a location agreed-upon by the group
• Participants will record their own elapsed times, if desired.
• Participants will complete the event at a location agreed-upon by the group.
• Participants may choose to leave the event at any time
• Participants will immediately inform the designated contact of their exit in order to avoid engaging local emergency services.
• Participants may choose to gather after the event as a community of like-minded enthusiasts
• Participants may consent to sharing their elapsed times with interested people/organizations, individually or as a group.
