Ocean Warrior Challenge: USLA Events

United States Lifesaving Association Events at The Ocean Warrior Challenge
Public Invited to participate on all USLA Events (Must have USLA Spec
equipment for all craft events)
Adult Events for ages 16 and over:
Day of event registration only - $20 for one or all three adult lifeguard
events
Prone Board - USLA Lifeguard spec (board must be no longer than 10 6') One
lap on the 2 mile course
Surf Ski - USLA Lifeguard spec (Ski must be no longer than 19ft - No carbon
fiber) 2 laps on the 2 mile course
Run-Swim-Run (Approximately 400 yard run- 400 yard swim- 400 yard run)
Junior Lifeguard Events for 15 and under:
Day of event registration only - $10 for one or all three junior lifeguard
events
Run- Swim- Run: There will be a junior lifeguard division in the adult
event
Prone paddle: 600 yards on a soft board no longer than 9ft
Crab Trap Grab: Competitors line up on the beach facing west and at the
sound of the whistle run to grab a small floating buoy. One or two
competitors are eliminated each round.)
Awards: 1 - 3rd Overall Male and female and 1 0 3rd in each age group.
(awards may be adjusted based on number of entries)
Adult event age groups: Male and female 29 and under, 30-49, 50 and
over.
Junior lifeguard age groups: Male and Female C= 11 & under B= 12 -13 A=
14-15
Note: Events may be altered based on surf conditions on day of event
