The 2012 Course (2014 course TBD, but will likely be similar, without the running)

Registrants in all fleets will be launched by mass start at a line in the water.  The running section of the race course has been eliminated for 2014, so the entire race takes place on the water under paddle power.  Each board fleet will have Men, Women and Age divisions.  See Below for specific classifications.

Each fleet will consist of multiple laps around the same course.  Each lap will consist of a 1 mile paddle loop.  The start will be from a standing position on your board in the water along the red line denoted on the map.  Racers will paddle around the loop in a clockwise direction.

Expect to encounter mostly flat water with the potential for small chop in the 4-8″ range only if it’s very windy.  The majority of the course is in water less than 4 feet deep, although small areas of water deeper than 6′ may exist.

There is potential for the water to have weeds, as well.  A weed fin is highly recommended.
