The Richard Henry Dana Charity Paddle race is part of the RHD Charity Regatta event series that benefits the 5th Marine Regiment Support Group.  This paddle event is run in association with the World Paddle Association and held at Dana Point Yacht Club. There will be two separate races for participants to choose their distance and craft for their ability level.  Competitor entry fees include races, dinner, drink tickets for adults, awards and entertainment at Dana Point Yacht Club.

The 5 mile distance race is an open ocean race that starts at Dana Point Yacht Club, around the headlands Red buoy and finishes at Dana Point Yacht Club that includes all paddle classes with OC1, OC2, OC6, Surfski, Prone and SUP.  The 2 mile race will be conducted inside Dana Point Harbor for those wanting a fun competitive SUP race that includes age groups for Open and Junior competitors.  The 2 mile race is designed for all paddle levels offering Open age groups 39U, 40-59 60+ and Junior age groups 8U, 9-13 and 14-17.   Salt Life and the WPA will also be giving free entries to the top placing Open & Junior (17U) competitors in both male and female at the Pacific Paddle Games Open & Junior technical races with the winners to be crowned "Open & Junior Champion Paddler of the Year".  The top placing Open competitors will be selected from the 5 Mile and 2 Mile races and the Juniors will be selected from the 2 Mile race.

Dinner tickets will be available the day of the event for family and friends for $15.00 per adult that includes a taco dinner, two drink tickets and entertainment with kids dinner only tickets (12U) $10.00.  The lower balcony bay deck at Dana Point Yacht Club will be open for family and friends to have drinks and view the paddle races.
